Tenure Interests

Township Leases allow for a regular, tradeable and transparent land administration system, which facilitate greater development and investment in remote Aboriginal communities.

All enquiries regarding development in a community covered by a Township Lease must be made in writing to the Office of Township Leasing. All development proposals must be discussed with the Consultative Forum and must adhere to all applicable laws, notably the Northern Territory’s Sacred Sites and Planning Acts.

If you have any questions before summitting the form you can contact us on 1800 152 259
